After years of running my photography website on Squarespace, I’ve decided it’s time to turn the page — and move everything over to PhotoBiz. It’s not a decision I made lightly, but one that’s been building for a while as both my work and my goals have evolved.
Squarespace has been a great starting point. It’s beautifully designed, easy to use, and perfect for getting a website up and running quickly. But as my career has grown, I’ve realized that what I need from a website has changed. My projects have become more complex, my commercial work more collaborative, and my fine art work more expansive — and I’ve outgrown what Squarespace can comfortably support.
I want a platform that’s built specifically for photographers — one that understands how we present, sell, and share our work. That’s what led me to PhotoBiz. It offers features designed with our industry in mind: fully customizable galleries, seamless client proofing tools, and built-in storefronts that make selling prints, books, and other products far easier. It’s also more flexible in how I can organize and showcase long-term projects, which is essential as my portfolio continues to grow and diversify.
But beyond the tools, this move is about intention. Photography is more than just images on a page — it’s storytelling, identity, and connection. I want my website to reflect that. PhotoBiz gives me the ability to build a space that not only shows my work but also tells the stories behind it, highlights new projects, and creates a more meaningful experience for visitors, clients, and collectors alike.
This transition marks the start of a new chapter. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be redesigning and restructuring the site to reflect better where my work is today — and where it’s headed next. Expect more straightforward navigation, better access to projects, new print offerings, and a more intentional space for sharing writing and behind-the-scenes stories.
Leaving Squarespace isn’t about abandoning what worked — it’s about evolving beyond it. PhotoBiz gives me the room to grow, create, and connect in ways I couldn’t before. And I’m excited to build a home for my work that truly reflects the heart of what I do.
