From the Shadows Within was born from one of the darkest chapters of my life — a period defined by PTSD, anxiety, and depression. During that time, I felt hollowed out, disconnected from myself, and stripped of the voice that had once been my way of understanding and translating the world. Photography, which had always been my anchor, suddenly felt distant. I questioned who I was as an artist — and whether I was one at all.

This series became my way back. Each image is a reflection of the inner landscape I was navigating: the emptiness that seemed endless, the isolation that numbed, the weight that felt too heavy to name. Through light and shadow, I found language again — not in words, but in form and tone and silence. The act of creating these photographs was not about illustrating pain for others to see; it was about reaching for myself in the darkness and documenting the small, fragile moments of emergence.
